The First Chapter: New Year’s Blessings
Under the shimmering lights of a New Year’s Eve service, Spencer and Breana found themselves at the same church, surrounded by the warmth of faith and new beginnings. Little did they know, as the pastor prayed for fresh relationships and new marriages, that God had a plan for their timely meeting.
A few days after the New Year’s Celebration, their paths crossed again during a trip to St. Augustine, Florida with their church group, NEXT. During this trip, they discovered that they had shared similar interests, values, and beliefs.
It was their shared passion for God and enthusiasm for fitness that led Spencer to continue pursuing Breana. That shared enthusiasm for fitness later led them to combine their gym routines. Little did they know that those morning workouts would be the moments that allowed them to share their testimonies with one another and get to know each other on a deeper level.
Starting Our Journey:
From the special moment of the New Year’s Eve prayer to the time spent getting to know each other at the gym, Spencer felt as though God had been revealing to him his wife. Breana also quickly realized that God had perfectly placed them in each other’s life for a reason and purpose. This reason and purpose become abundantly clear to both Spencer and Breana as they continued to share many memorable moments and adventures together.
Memorable Moments: Adventures Together
These shared memorable moments include beach getaways, fishing trips, family travels, worship nights, 70’s themed birthday parties, and countless days/nights that were spent getting to know each other on a deeper emotional and spiritual level.
It was August 16 when Spencer got his word and sign from God to propose to Breana. Spencer planned a beautiful trip back to St. Augustine, Florida, where they had first truly connected. It was on a fort overlooking the water in St. Augustine, Florida where Spencer got down on his knee and asked Breana to marry him.
Now, as we reflect and get ready to embark on this new chapter of marriage, we’re grateful for all the adventures we’ve shared and excited for the new adventures yet to come as husband and wife.
